2024年6月4日 · This is a large, sweeping bend in the Virgin River. In the cooler months of the year, look for adventurous rock climbers attempting to scale Zion Canyon’s big walls. While there are many exciting hikes in Zion Canyon, sometimes it's fun to just wander around aimlessly along the banks of the Virgin River to enjoy the sound of the water in the open canyon. One nice spot for a leisurely stroll is a trail-of-use between Big Bend and Weeping Rock that also offers nice views of the Great White Throne.

See Zion Hiking for more on the trail. Shuttle Stop #8 – Big Bend. The next stop is Big Bend. There are no trails here, but it is a very popular photo spot. The Virgin River, and the canyon, turn sharply here, creating a dramatic scene. Shuttle Stop #9 – Temple of Sinawava.

Big Bend is an area where the Virgin River has folded the canyon wall into a large s-shaped curve. From the northern part of the bend you see the top of the Great White Throne as it peeks out over the saddle between the Organ and Angel's Landing. Big Bend also offers dramatic views of Observation Point, Cable Mountain, and several other formations.

Entrance fees in 2024 start at $20 per person or $35 per car. That pass lasts a full week. The interagency pass “America the Beautiful” is accepted here.
