Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) The ClearFox® DAF is a fully automated unit. The wastewater to be treated is fed from the customer's surge tanks or the ClearFox® buffer tanks of the DAF via a nonclogging cavity pump. The use of - aerated buffers is recommended for certain applications.

It works by producing a stream of micro-fine air bubbles that attach to solids and float them to the surface, where they can be removed by a surface scraping mechanism. DAF is ideally suited to particles and flocs that are of neutral density, slow-settling or buoyant.

Accumulated solids now buoyant are skimmed off by the automatic sludge scraper system and directed into an internal hopper for extraction. Equipped with an automatically operated solenoid valve, the unit maintains optimal system pressure, ensuring consistent operation.
