2008年12月1日 · I started using Midway's brand Frankford Arsenal Drop Out Bullet Mold Release Agent with a new mould. A cleaning with Gun Scrubber then a coating of mould release. Bullets drop free of the mould better than any other mould I have used. Further testing is needed to see if it is the release agent or just a great mould.

2016年10月7日 · Hi, I’m currently trying to cast some liquid urethane plastic (smooth-cast 305) in a 3D Printed mold, however I’m struggling to find a decent mold release. I’ve tried CRC 808 silicone and mann ease release 200 but neither of these have worked well, as the cured plastic sticks to the mold. Does anyone have any experience with molding liquid plastics using molds printed with the formlabs ...

2010年12月1日 · Before I saw this thread , I bought a can of the Midway Mould Release stuff, and applied it to my RCBS mould for the 6mm 95 gr. bullet. I'm now scared to use the mould, but I guess all I'm looking at is some vigorous work to get the stuff off. And, I need another batch of 6mm bullets for the 50XB Remington.

2013年12月20日 · I've used Drop-Out for a couple of years. When the mould gets a little reluctant to let go, a slight misting of the stuff helps. Where I really find it useful, is in spraying the bevel on the outside (top) of the sprue cutter, when the sprues don't want to release. Helps a lot.

2021年2月8日 · With a new mould, I scrape all vent lines and cavity edges with a viciously sharp wooden toothpick. I sometimes find small burrs, and keep harassing them with the toothpick until they fall of. I always check carefully hollow point pins. They often require some light polishing with steel wool. A regular graphite pencil is a good release agent.

2010年3月16日 · After the mould is up to heat and casting well, leave the last cast of bullets in the mould. Cut the sprue, apply a VERY small amount of lube over the top of the mould (stay a bit away from the cavities)and the top and bottom of the sprue plate. IMMEDIATELY wipe off the mould surfaces. You do NOT want lubricant on there - just a film.

2008年1月1日 · Makes it easier to push those out of the mould without collapsing the hole in the stick of lube. One final word of advice.. You will need to coat the inside surface with something to act as a release agent. Some use Murphy's oil soap, some use hairspray, some like me use commercial candle mould release and some use 3% food grade silicone spray.

2011年3月30日 · Slide keeps snow from sticking to snow plows, blowers and shovels. The vehicle in slide is methelene chloride which is a known carcinogen so i doubt its still available. The can i have was over 20 years old and has now been transferred to other containers due to rust. Its the best mould release I've ever worked with.

In the course of the conversation, of course we got to talking about casting and shooting. He mentioned that he had spoke to the people at Kano Kroil about using their product as a mold release agent.
