2 天之前 · Looks like the hole marked "F" in your block is already plugged. This looks like a factory machining hole that is drilled as an oil passage to the internals, and then plugged with a welsh plug to seal it. Bruce. I see it now. One looks like it has been fully plugged in all the way with a screw bung, and the other only partially.

2012年4月9日 · We need help identifying a Cadiilac 331 Motor. It appears to be a 1953 due to 12 volt system , 4 barrel carb , and stick shift flywheel and clutch. Here is the rub, the block is stamped on the left rear above the transmission mount flange: 2S458. There is no serial number stamped on the block flange at the front right.

6 天之前 · Anyone know the year of this engine? However, there should be an engine serial number or VIN number on a boss at the front of the right (passenger's) bank of cylinders, just in front of the bottom of the right cylinder head. The first 2 digits of this number denote the year.

This is a used original engine block from a 1955 Cadillac. This will fit all 1955 Cadillac's, and could be used for other years as well, but please make sure it will fit your application for yourself before buying. This had been professional cleaned / hot tanked and magna fluxed for cracks at a machine shop and is good !
