Garou has also literally said that he’s above god, he doesn’t recognize any “authority”. That’s a defining character trait of his. So repping God here by mentioning some “God fist” is extremely out of character.

2022年5月25日 · Yes, he did slightly spoil by giving a hint to it being God but waited for the real reveal in the manga while showing God giving Garou power in the sky. Garou is looking up at the sky and saying thank you for a reason. In this panel we see Garou acknowledging that it's God's powers he has received.

He rejected God's power and it was forced upon him anyway. By the time that happened "Garou The Hero Hunter" had already been defeated physically and ideologically. The final villain of the arc (and the main of the villain of the series) isn't Garou at all, it's God, and Garou plays a crucial role in reversing the damage God did and saving the day.

However, upon his defeat against Saitama and realizing he had unintentionally killed Tareo, regaining his mind, Garou lamented his weak spirit at being influenced by "God" while becoming discouraged at how he could never be "Absolute Evil" and how he had accidentally taken the life of the boy he's always wanted to save first by changing the world.
