TAG heuer Carrera 02 - £5000 Omega has priced itself out from being the no brainer option.

The speedmaster is a very famous and widely sold watch. Omega makes less speedmasters a year than Rolex makes submariners. But they are accessible so they sell to more "regular folks" and those regular folks are watch enthusiasts, so more regular folks are going to know that it's a terrible rep than regular folks would know that a sub is fake.

2023年4月30日 · It's not the same dial, not the same caliber (there is a speedmaster moonwatch heritage but it's €16.5k). If you care about the moonwatch story then get this 16k+ watch with the 321 movement, because it's the closest to the original you can get brand new. And don't forget that there was a speedmaster was before the Apollo 11 mission...

2022年9月24日 · There are a lot of things to consider, the biggest in my opinion is the availability of the 321. Have you talked to an Omega boutique yet? Because it could likely be years before one becomes available. If you buy grey market you’re looking at closer to $18-20k. Personally, if I could afford it, I would choose the 321.

2022年1月5日 · The Tudor is in blue, which is the color that I want. The Omega is the classic Moonwatch in hesalite. Option 1 is to either buy one of these two watches new. The Tudor is $3700, whereas the Omega is $6300. Option 2 is to buy the Tudor (new) and buy the Omega Speedmaster Reduced (used). I found one for $3500 in great condition, but it’s a 2010.

IMHO, go hesalite for the Moonwatch. Being the only watch certified for extra vehicular activities by NASA is what makes the Moonwatch special, and you lose that going for sapphire. If you want sapphire go for a different model or different brand.

2024年1月16日 · After a Rodania, Tissot and Timex I’m looking to buy my first luxury watch: an Omega speedmaster. Price wise, the moonwatch professional and 38 are the only two models within my range. I went to a dealer today to try them both out. The dealer told me there’s a big difference in movement quality between both models.
