This section contains the information you may need when you visit The Whittington Hospital as an outpatient. If there is anything else you would like to know, please ask a member of staff when you arrive and they will be happy to help you.

We provide a large range of services from the hospital, including accident and emergency (A&E), maternity, diagnostic, therapy and elderly care. We also run services from 30 community locations in Islington and Haringey.

There is no parking at the hospital during the day but we do have a limited number of disabled (blue badge) parking spaces, which may be used by Blue Disabled Badge holders only between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm free of charge. Please note that normal charges will apply to Blue Disabled Badge holders after 5:00pm on weekdays and all day at weekends(see below).

Medical services have been delivered on the Whittington site since 1473, when a leper hospital was founded. In 1848, a new hospital was built on the St Mary's site, to care for patients with smallpox during the period of epidemic.
