A beautiful gray ratsnake I spotted while getting my wetsuit on at the water’s edge! Nonvenomous and harmless to humans! Sadly, later that day I saw a different snake get smashed by an ignorant tourist with a stick, I was able to stop them from beating it worse, but it’s so sad to see such ignorance. I explained it’s a completely harmless nonvenomous water snake, literally impossible for it to cause you any harm. If you choose to go to wild places then try to kill the wild creatures living there
