Baby horses are just like kids. They love to play, run, buck and rear, even play with the ball. Sometimes we have our volunteers kick the ball at them to initiate play. It’s really good for foals and young horses to be out growing up in a pasture instead of being stalled, or in a small run. If they are with other young horses, they learn hierarchy, and herd dynamics which are necessary for proper emotional growth.
