More heavy cuts on the @lionlathe I never imagined a new, modern machine could work as hard as my old Monarchs. Boy, was I wrong. This lathe is built way better than any other new machine I've ran. 10" Diameter 1045, taking 0.500 DOC with a CNMG insert. 125 RPM, and 0.010 feed. I could probably feed a little harder, but I'm happy with the result. I also could speed up the rpm a lot, but I'm trying to contain the coolant mess. Most rewarding seeing a good looking and accurate part come off the Cnc lathe that is exactly on target! It took a few tries to get the tools set exactly on size but we nailed it. These small pinion shafts have been some good learning for me as Steve has been working with me again on the Milltronics Cnc machines.
